I am very glad that you have written to ask about the symbolic meaning of the dragon.
Long ago, China was a developing agricultural country that badly relied on abundant rainfall or irrigation. Thus, ancient Chinese imagined there must be a powerful God in the sky who was in charge of rainfall and any other forms of water on earth. Later, we Chinese people, called ourselves the descendants of dragons, meaning agriculture fed us and hoping that we were brave, flexible and powerful enough like dragons to control our own fate from generation to generation.

Well, I've gotten myself into quite the situation. I've been on Enbrel since July of last year. Insurance was taking care of the perscription and I had been getting better all the time, although I've never fully cleared. Then I lost my job, the same day I got my last scrip filled. And I bet you can guess what happened... my insurance was cancelled but they paid the pharm. Now the insurance company wants me to reimburse them the $2500 for the meds. Because I feared that this might happen I didn't open the meds, still have tamper seals in place and have been in the fridge since I got them. The Pharm says there is nothing they can do now and said the insurance co should have never approved or paid the script, insurance co just wants their money and said they will turn it over to collection soon, and 1888-4ENBREL says there is nothing they can do to help either. i asked about assistance programs that could help pay for Enbrel but I was told there were none available anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've spent many years repairing my credit and I'd hate to screw it up because of this.

This is my suggestion:
1. Write a letter to your insurance company telling them of their error, be sure to get a return reciept and keep it in your files. Signature only on the reciept.
2. Write a letter to the pharmacy company, include a copy of the above, and inform them that you are returning the medications sent to you in error. Send this return signature only, keep copies.
3. Return the medication in the orginal packaging, along with copies of both of the above to the shipping address, in the original cooler along with appropriate packing amterials. Make this a return receipt delivery as well.
4.If you get a collections letter, send them copies of all of the above, and send it to the Insurance Commision in your state.
Then, you should be off the hook for that shipment. In the meantime, we can help you find access to treatment even without insurance. Please let us know how we can help further.

what was your last day? Was it in another month. If you paid your insurance for the whole month (deducted from your paycheck), they should give you a whole month's insurance. Is this where the key is? Or your last day was in another month/pay period and you never paid for it?
If you did pay for your insurance, call the department of insurance. Even you did not pay for it, call them any way and tell them they approved it, otherwise, you would never have bought it.

I'm going to give you a link to a thread that was started by Leslie (Momtotwogirls). She took the time to post the links and information about several assistance programs that she came across. I've added the links and information about some other programs that have either been discussed here on the Board or that people have told me about. As I mentioned, we don't know very much about the assistance programs that Leslie and I discuss, but I can tell you that Jessica (stormechaser) and Miranda (LadyFraser) both got Enbrel for free thanks to a program called www.needymeds.com. It sounds like a scam site, but links to their stories can be found: here (http://www.psoriasis.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13119) and here (http://www.psoriasis.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3979). The same links are also in Leslie's thread.
All of these programs probably have some sort of a lengthy approval process, but they may also provide emergency assistance to people in your situation. It can't hurt to ask them about that.
Leslie and I both discuss a program called Patient Services Incorporated or PSI (http://www.uneedpsi.org/). Unfortunately, Tani (tmartha) recently posted that PSI had exhaused their budget for psoriasis. :( (Here's a link to her post: http://www.psoriasis.org/forum/showthread.php?p=217928#post217928.) That being said, it still can't hurt to check them out.

I don't know much about employment and insurance PJ, so perhaps you can help our friend determine if he might be eligible for this and if his employer is at fault for not offering it to him. A vaguely remember a friend of mine getting fired, and she got to keep her insurance for 90 days as long as she paid the premium. She said, that the company would have been liable for damages had they not offered it to her, because it's the law that the employer has to offer it. Here is what I found for my state:

You, along with your spouse and dependants, may become eligible for COBRA through what are called qualifying events.

Voluntary or involuntary termination of employment for any reason other than gross misconduct. For example, arson or embezzlement
Voluntary or involuntary reduction in work hours below the minimum number of hours required to qualify for group health coverage

COBRA is an insurance that is available to many workers who have been covered for an extended period. Mike can post the links. Yours was very good, thank you!
Even under the circumstances that our pal may be eligible under Cobra, the steps I outlined are critical.

Once medication has been given to the customer it can't be returned, even if unopened. The reason is, there is no guarantee it hasn't been tampered with, as seals can be redone.

If you are in the US, you are eligable for CORBRA. This is the same level of insurance you had at the
Alaska officials said Friday that up to 267,000 gallons of crude oil poured out of a pipeline at the Prudhoe Bay field, making it the largest oil spill ever recorded on the state's North Slope.
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation estimated that a minimum of 201,000 gallons spilled at Prudhoe Bay, the largest U.S. oil field.
The spilled oil spread over 1.9 acres of snow-covered tundra and the environmental impact remains unknown, according to Leslie Pearson, on-scene coordinator for the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The spill was discovered March 2 on the west side of Prudhoe Bay by a worker for field operator BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc.
Officials expect the cleanup to take four to six weeks. So far, 52,920 gallons of oil had been recovered, according to a news release issued by the state, federal and BP's joint emergency response team.
"Although it is a significant spill and it is a large volume, the footprint, being just under two acres, is small," said Pearson.
