This film was absolutely amazing. I have spent hours re-watching various scenes and noticing all the perfection with which they are acted and directed. In the days when a woman’s entire obligation was to be a good daughter, a good wife and a good mother, men and women were far from equal. Women suffered sexual discrimination until the so-called feminism came into being. Nowadays, feminism has been running for over a century. Result? It ran into the extreme of "equality" from my perspective.

Most of us agree that men and women should enjoy equality in this modern society.But what on earth does this equality mean? To be "equal", those for feminism would like to share everything with menthey split bills, apply for masculine jobs,etc. They intended to buy in all the advantages and disadvantages of being a man. On their long journey to the "equal world",they’ve forgotten some basic factsthey ARE women.Even school children know that women, after all, are different from men both physically and mentally. It is unwise, or even stupid,to ignore all these differences and pursue a so called "equal world". We couldn’t expect a man to give birth to a baby as we couldn’t expect the sun to rise in the west.Likewise,we couldn’t expect a woman to become the world’s fastest runner,as is simple, but seems forgotten by those feminists.

Equality is not bisecting everything. Real equality should be built upon the common sense of the basic sexual differences.Since some of the jobs can only be done well enough by men,women should not feel discriminated when we fail. After all,there’re also some jobs, which can only be perfectly done with women’s hands. These are not symbols of inequality, but natural laws.What really counts is equality in rights, reputation,etc. Only when all the individuals value the spirit of being equal can women really enjoy equality with men.

After women have made great strides for their rights,leaders gradually realized the necessity to achieve the equality of men and women and as well increasingly countries has put the principle of equality into practice.women are no longer being oppressed at the the bottom of society and even have equal opportunity to rise to leadership positions.however,gender discrimination still exist in insidious form today.

Women and men may not dealt with in many field especially in the job market with female graduates affected the most.The figure indicates that more than 90 percent of female students experience gender discrimination in the force labour,while more than 40 percent of believe it is harder for women to get an offer than men. “men only”signs appeared frequently on recruit company,women are are refused by their image of delicate and lack of independent as people considered.So that women always lose many chances in choosing favorable job. Additionally , for same work,women receive lower payment at their job than men. Another statistic shows that women represent 50 percent of middle management and professional positions but the percentages of women at the top of organizations represent not even a third of that number which can not but arouse our thinking why do we have so few women leader?That’s recessive gender discrimination.In the absence of gender discrimination stress patriarchal society,in order to realize their own value,women must pay double or even several times effort than men.

Finally,the ideas that son preference and discrimination against girls took strong root since ancient time,every family continues to have children until they have a boy,if they have a girl,they would like to have another child.Killed,aborted or neglected,at least 100 million girls have disappeared and the number is rising. As we can see from above analysis,women still encounter discrimination or unfair treatment in many aspects.To achieve the “equality of men and women”We still have a long way to go.

Though people's concept of gender has changed a lot, gender inequality in some cases still exists. I will mainly express my opinions on gender inequality in employment of college graduates in this passage.

It is generally acknowledged that college graduates are

confronted with heavy pressure of seeking jobs in China. However it is more difficult for female graduates to seek a good job because of the social discrimination.There is no denying that female job-seekers are treated unequally when they apply for most of the jobs such as computer programmers, drivers, factory workers and so on. There are numerous reasons accounting for this phenomenon. Above all, compared with male graduates, female graduates are concerned to have inevitable physical weaknesses. In addition, women have to give birth to babies one day they get married, consequently they need a maternity leave for several months which certainly makes less profit for the company.

As far as I am concerned, women can do as good as men even better than men, therefore women shouldn't be treated

unequally. The government can take measures to improve this

situation, in the meanwhile, the society and companies should also give equal opportunities to female graduates and male graduates. If this discrimination can be eliminated, our society will be bound to be better.

Gender Inequality is a long-standing historical and global problem .In ancient times, many countries in the world exist such Concept , but the practice of Feminist movement have never stopped.

Nowadays, all over the world to advocate equality between men and women ,and in fact the situation is become better and better , but many people still Hold on this concept In the

Why does Feminism still Prevail in China ?

Contrasting to the fedual society, nowadays, Chinese women's social and family status have been improved greatly. Looking at the past, most of women had to stay at home all the time and seldom went out of the house, let alone taking part in social activities and receiving education . All they could do were to make embroidery, do housework and look after their families. But now, women can take all kinds of activities that men take, receive equal education and get equal pay. However, there are still lots of feminists. Why does feminism still exist? On the basis of the survey, there are mainly two reasons why feminism still prevails in China.

Firstly, discrimination against women in employment is a serious problem that does not be taken seriously, which can be revealed through two aspects. One is that many employers list women's appearance and height in the conditions of the employees, while the requirement of men's is much lower compared to women for they think men's ability and value have less to do with their appearance and height than women. The other is the limitation of marriage and pregnancy in employment. When some companies employ, they always ask women whether they get married or not and if they are ready to have babies or already have. They have to sign some contracts about limiting pregnancy. During the period of working, once women are found pregnant, they are forced to leave their jobs by the means of threatening and cutting the pay. According to the statistics, every year about 44.07% of women of will confront with the limitation of marriage and pregnancy in employment.

Secondly, problems of family voilence haven't been solved well though Marriage Law provides some rules for women to seek legal protection. With the deep influence of traditional ideology, men still regard women as their subordination and a tool of giving birth to babies. So they often maltreat women through ways of threatening with speech, sexual abuse and hitting them, which will hurt women both physically and mentally. One typical figure of family violence is the famous founder of the Crazy English, Li Yang. His American wife, KIM, discloses that her husband often hits her in their life. She even put some pictures on the Internet to prove her injury.

Women are the indispensable part in the process of prolonging the human history, women are the main force of creating culture; women are the valuable treasures of human. Therefore, women should enjoy the equal rights with men. The appearance and hight indeed have nothing to do with their ability and creativity. Women make equal and even more efforts in founding a happy family than men. They deserve people's respect. If not, feminism will last a longer time.
