Nowadays，there is often a lack of understanding between parents and children. Children always complain that their parents are out of date， while parents can't approve of what their children say and do. Thus，a big generation gap is formed.
The gap remains wide for many reasons. Children want to be free to choose their own friends， select their own classes in school， plan their own future ， earn and spend their own money ，and generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow. Also， young children wish to be understood by their parents， but most parents don't quite understand their children. They regard it as their responsibility to teach their offspring traditional beliefs. They want them to be obedient and do well in school . Therefore， misunderstanding often arise from parents' tendency to interfere in children's daily activities. In my opinion， most problems between parents and children could be solved by joint efforts of both sides to enhance mutual understanding.
Learning English just like learning any other language, is
hard work so we should spend time practicing using English. Besides, we should listen to the teacher carefully,review what is learned regularly, prepare each lesson carefully before class, do our homework carefully, copy good sentences and recite them and attend English debbates and speech contests. What's more, be patient and confident. Don't be shy and don't be afraid of making mistakes. We must understand that mistakes are unavoidable. So be patient with your mistakes and try to awoid them other time. I believe" practice makes perfect". If we study hard, we will learn English well.

My parents live in the country. They keep a dog called Ah Fu. One day my parents went to work in the fields taking my little sister and Ah Fu along. While they were working, my sister walked to a river nearby. Ah Fu followed her there. She was trying to pick a flower when she fell into the river. Ah Fu barked and jumped into the water immediately. When my parents heard Ah Fu barking they ran to the river They saw Ah Fu swimming towards the bank carrying my little sister. My parents praised Ah Fu warmly. It was our brave Ah Fu who had saved my little sister.

It was Grandma‘s birthday . Father , Mother and I went to visit her. She lives with my uncle in a village not too far away. Early in the morning we bought some presents and took the bus to get there.
